SPT Launches their Travel Plan Builder

Glasgow based Strathclyde Partnership for Transport launched the SPT Travel Plan Builder on 1 October, 2008. Ayr College is the first organisation to produce their Travel Plan on line using this newly developed website.

Workplace Parking Tax to Boost Economy

Charging firms to allow their staff to park at work would boost a city's economy, councils are being told.

Councillors in Nottingham want to tax the city's largest companies for every parking space they provide employees as a way of raising funds to improve public transport.

From 2010 Nottingham City Council wants to charge firms £180 a year for every parking space they provide their staff, with the fee rising to £350 in 2014.

Durham County Cricket Club has revealed the plans for a £45m development at its Riverside headquarters in Chester le Street. The Planning Application includes a Travel Plan by The Workplace Travel Plan Company.

Allens West and WPTPCo

A new mixed use development is set to go ahead in Stockton, with a Travel Plan written by The Workplace Travel Plan Company. Developer JG Land and Estates won planning permission this week. The WPTPCo will be the Travel Plan Co-ordinators once the development starts.

Durham County Cricket Club and WPTPCo

The Workplace Travel Plan Company are currently writing the Travel Plan for Durham County Cricket Club. In addition to this the Club have appointed the Workplace Travel Plan Company as Travel Plan Co-ordinator.
