New £1.1m Fund to Support Home Workers in your Business

The Home Working Fund is a new One North East initiative aimed at enabling companies to create new jobs for “home workers” in the region.

The £1.1m Fund is open to eligible companies and is designed to contribute to the costs of establishing home workers.

How To Avoid Gridlock On Britain's Roads - Change Work Patterns

Radical changes to the way we work and commute are needed if the UK is to cut future congestion on its roads, says the CBI.

In a new report called Tackling Congestion, Driving Growth - A New Approach to Roads Policy, the UK’s largest business group argues that time and money wasted on Britain’s congested roads can be saved, and makes a series of suggestions about how government and business can address the issue.

Behaviour Change: What Works for Transport?

Four groups of experts were asked to consider how DfT could best engage different types of people and businesses in thinking about changing their transport behaviours (to things like using lower carbon transport or driving more safely, for example).
